Our books for children are primarily text-based storybooks. UP needs at least 100 pages to bind a book properly. This normally means at least 10,000 words.

Book covers are full-color, while interiors are B&W; only. Illustrations may be included, especially line art. Please click HERE for detailed information about interior artwork.

We do not currently produce books with pop-ups, cut-outs or other novelty printing features.

UP understands that many books for children are relatively short, or require color interiors. We are happy to help authors and publishers of books like these find suitable outlets, even when their books are not produced by UP.

For books of at least 100 pages, with artwork that is effective in B&W;, the UP system is ideal for making an attractive, competitively-priced book widely available to readers. Please contact us for details.
