Unlimited Publishing LLC (UP) congratulates Edith Ankersmit Kemp and Jerrold E. Kemp, authors of Older Couples: New Couplings.

The first edition of their book was released by in May 2001 as a POD paperback from UP, manufactured by Lightning Source and Replica Books.

Rights were subsequently acquired by Ten Speed Press, publisher of What Color is Your Parachute? by Richard Nelson Bolles, a book with more than 7 million copies in print.

The Ten Speed edition, titled Older Couples: New Romances, became available worldwide as a traditionally published book.

Older Couples: New Couplings was released by in May 2001 as a POD paperback from Unlimited Publishing LLC. Old Couples: New Romances was released in 2002; distributed in Canada by Ten Speed Canada, in the U.K. by Airlift Books, in South Africa by Real Books, in New Zealand by Southern Publishers Group, in Southeast Asia by Berkeley Books, and in Australia by Simon & Schuster Australia.

On January 27, 2003, co-author Jerry Kemp wrote:

"Edith and I are pleased to send you this copy of the new edition. We are generally pleased with the result, although we much preferred the UP cover that appeared much more inviting than this one... Our thanks once again for getting us started..."

Unlike other POD publishers that release almost anything (at the author's expense), UP is selective. Our goal is to make UP titles virtually indistinguishable in content, appearance and price from books released by major publishers. UP emphasizes quality over quantity.

Our conviction is that independently-published books need not be considered "poor cousins" to those from traditional publishers. While new technologies drastically reduce the initial cost of publishing a book, one need not sacrifice professional quality in the process.

The worldwide release of this fine book that started as a POD paperback from UP provides objective evidence that POD books can achieve broad readership and appeal in the "major leagues" of publishing.
