CHARACTER COUNTS Books
co-published by the Josephson Institute of Ethics and UP
The Josephson Institute of Ethics co-published a new, updated
edition of
The Power of Character, originally from
Jossey-Bass (an imprint of Wiley & Sons) with UP in 2004. Contributors
include Harvard's Alan M. Dershowitz; Daniel Goleman, whose training as
a journalist and psychologist powered his book Emotional Intelligence
to the top of the best-seller lists; CBS's Dan Rather; no-nonsense radio
host Dr. Laura Schlessinger, and dozens of other distinguished leaders.
The Josephson Institute has also co-published three more books with UP, in partnership with the national CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition, with more than 50,000 members coast-to-coast:
Preserving the Public Trust and Good Ideas for Creating a More Ethical and Effective Workplace are used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for citizenship classes. What Every Educator and Youth Leader Must Know makes the case for character education in today's schools.
These four outstanding books are available to order from all leading booksellers, or you may order directly from the CHARACTER COUNTS Coalition.
UP is proud to collaborate with the Josephson Institute of Ethics to make these fine books widely available to the reading public. We applaud their efforts to to instill greater strength of character in Americans, young and old.
