ABOUT THE BOOK Where are the symbols coming from and what do they mean? Why have they appeared in an Egyptian tomb, a Peruvian palace, and a shape created by a fakir’s squirming snakes? Could they be related to the astounding disaster at Stonehenge? Gatsby Donovan’s career at the British Museum has made her an expert in decoding ancient glyphs, but resolving this archeolinguistic puzzle is the greatest challenge of her life. Will her empiricism unearth the answers or are they secreted within the manuscript that she dare not decipher? With the assistance of Cambridge archeologist Martin Traussbery, Gatsby resolves to break the enigmatic code--unsure whether she is deciphering a shared hallucination, her own childhood, or perception itself--and finds herself dangling from the ledge of everything she had once believed about reality. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Lori Stephens began her writing career as a journalist. She became the editor in chief for a West Coast arts magazine and, for eight years, was senior editor for Metamorphous Press. She has developed over 50 psychology titles on subjects including communication, creativity, belief systems, and Neurolinguistic Programming. After an inspiring visit to Stonehenge in 1995, she spent several years researching the history and mythology of the site. Ms. Stephens graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oregon and currently lives in Portland, Oregon. Deep Structure is her first novel.
