Managing Inventory
The One Day Lead Time Process
by David P. Zimmerman
UP Bookstore

ABOUT THE BOOK

You can insure quick service ("One Day Lead Times") for your customers if you have short Cycle Times, infinite capacity, or infinite inventory. But most businesses don’t have infinite inventory or infinite capacity -- and customers won’t wait years for you to reduce Cycle Times. Adopting the processes in Managing Inventory will improve your customer service in three months. First, the book examines the how and why of current "Lead Time" lengths. Then, it introduces a new way to manage inventory, and production, creating a new business paradigm that replaces traditional logic paths and practices with a different, and better, process.
