ABOUT THE BOOK In The Moment is the debut collection of prose and poetry from Robert Silverstone. It was created over some twenty years, and represents the spiritual growth and realizations of a young man as he transitions into his middle years. The book offers insight and introspection. It touches hearts, opens minds and reveals truths. From poignancy to irony, from simplicity to complexity, there is an underlying positive theme of optimism as the reader embarks on an inspirational journey of discovery to know the self, truth, life, and the place that is the eternal seat of the soul. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Born in Manchester, England, in 1952, Robert Silverstone was educated in the British Grammar School and College traditions. In 1971, following the loss of his father, he took over the family business, and spent the next nine years in Europe, developing his professional and entrepreneurial skills. He moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1980, where he was motivated to start writing. Today he is a business owner, entrepreneur, consultant, author, photographer, writer and poet. He currently resides in Pacific Palisades, California, overlooking the ocean, where he embraces, what he terms, "In the Moment Consciousness" in all his activities.
